Philadelphia’s Bharatiya Temple hosts Gangaur Festival / X/@IndiainNewYork
Members of the Rajasthani diaspora organized the 19th Gangaur Festival at the Bharatiya Temple near Philadelphia, where Consul General of India in New York, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, joined community members in celebrating the traditional festival.
The Gangaur Festival, a celebration from Rajasthan dedicated to Goddess Gauri (Parvati) and Lord Shiva (Gan), symbolizes marital harmony and the arrival of spring.
The event drew several members of the Indian diaspora, particularly from the Rajasthani community, and featured traditional rituals, cultural performances, and community gatherings.

CG Pradhan praised diaspora members for their continued efforts in preserving and promoting Indian culture abroad and for passing on traditions to younger generations.
He also acknowledged the contributions of key organizers, including Nand Todi, Prem Bhandari, and Ravi Murarka, President of Philadelphia Rajasthani Mandal (PARAM), for hosting the festival.

Prem Bhandari took to X and thanked CG Pradhan for his participation in the event, where discussions on issues related to community welfare also took place.
